The Hess Inlet is a bay on the Foyn coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 16 km southwest of Monnier Point . Your entrance is between Battle Point and Mamelon Point . Its south bank is dominated by Mount Thorarinsson . The Hess glacier flows into it .
Scientists from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey took surveys in December 1947. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1982 based on the naming of the glacier of the same name. Its namesake is the German glaciologist Hans Hess (1864–1940).
