description
Mammillaria deherdtiana occurs predominantly individually, with a dark green spherical depression at the top. The warts are predominantly conical and about 10 mm long. About 20 to 36 needle-shaped, white radial spines with a length of 3 to 18 mm (sometimes slightly curved) and zero to six light to dark red-brown, sometimes yellowish central spines with a length of 3 to 20 mm sit on the warts .
The relatively large flowers reach a wide-open funnel 50 mm in diameter. In culture, Mammillaria deherdtiana subsp. deherdtiana observed a white flowering species. In the natural environment, Mammillaria deherdtiana supsp blooms in spring . dodsonii and only in early summer Mammillaria deherdtiana supsp. derherdtiana .
The 3 to 4 mm long fruits are light green and spherical half still in the body of the plant, on which the floral parts remain dry. The seeds are dark brown to black and about 2 mm in diameter.
