The mausoleum of Manas

Manas Ordo is a memorial complex in honor of the national hero Manas, who defends and unites the Kyrgyz as a courageous general in the epic of the same name . At the memorial complex in northwest Kyrgyzstan is a mausoleum , which is said to be the place where the hero's remains are kept. This thesis has not been scientifically proven, but explains the importance of the system.

location

The building complex is located 12 kilometers east of the city of Talas in the northwest of the Central Asian state of Kyrgyzstan. According to legend, the misleading inscription was written on the instructions of Manas' wife, who wanted to protect her husband's grave from enemy grave robbers.

Park

A spacious park also belongs to the memorial complex. In the center of the park is a stele on which Manas stands, leaning on his dagger. Around this stele there are stone figures that are supposed to represent Manas' supporters and warriors.

museum

A museum on the premises provides information about the Manas and their history. Famous Akyns who continue the Manas tradition to this day are also portrayed here. In addition, well-known scenes of the Manas are shown in the form of dioramas .
