Life

Mandana Alavi Kia was born in Tehran in 1962 to a German mother and a Persian father. Her Persian family descends from the well-known Sufi master Mir Seyd Ali Alavi , the Shah of Hamadan . She has been involved in Persian folk dance, ballet, singing and painting since she was five.

Your training includes a wide variety of dance and singing styles, e. B. Indian and African dance , modern dance , expressive dance etc. At the Musikhochschule in Vienna she received vocal training with Christa Schwertsik , jazz with Leila Muhs in Munich and vocal technique with Romeo Alavi Kia.

She also worked on the book: " Voice - Mirror of My Self " by Romeo Alavi Kia and was co-author of the book " Erfan - From the Singing of the Planets (Sufi stories from Persia) " by Nariman Hodjaty.
