Manfred Harder (economist)

Manfred Harder (born March 24, 1936 in Gollnow ; † March 2006 in Rostock ) was a German economist and university professor.

Life

After graduating from high school, Manfred Harder studied at the Faculty of Engineering and Economics at Rostock University from 1955 . From 1961 to 1966 he was an employee of the district leadership of the SED in Rostock. From 1966 he was again a research associate at the university, where he received his doctorate in 1969 and in 1976 with a B doctorate the title Dr. acquired. In 1970 he became a lecturer and in 1984 professor for socialist economic management. From 1990 until his resignation in 1992, he headed the Institute for Management and Business Informatics at the university.
