Manfred Kollig SSCC (* 1956 in Koblenz ) is a German religious priest and vicar general of the Archdiocese of Berlin .

Life

Manfred Kollig joined the community of the Arnstein Fathers in 1974 and made his perpetual profession in 1978 . He studied in Simpelveld and Munster, and received in 1981 the sacrament of Holy Orders .

After working in the pastoral care of the parish, from 1983 to 1987 he was in charge of the convent's own youth meeting place, Kloster Arnstein . He was then a school chaplain until 1994 and since 1990 a consultant in the school department of the Münster diocese . From 1994 to 2000 he worked in the administration of the Arnstein Fathers in Rome. After his return, Fr. Manfred was the superior of the community in Werne and worked in the school pastoral care. From 2003 he was responsible for the design of the liturgy in preparation for World Youth Day 2005 . From 2006 he was head of the school department and from 2011 the main department of pastoral care in the diocese of Münster.

On November 3, 2016, Archbishop Heiner Koch appointed him Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Berlin with effect from February 1, 2017. The inauguration took place on February 2, 2017.
