Manfred Loeffler

Manfred Löffler (born November 18, 1930 ) is a former German functionary of the GDR block party LDPD . From 1962 to 1963 he was a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

Löffler, son of a grocer, learned the trade of druggist and attended the technical college for administration and economy in Chemnitz . He then worked as a clerk and in 1948 became a member of the LDPD. From 1953 to 1958 he was mayor of Oberlichtenau . In 1954 he became a member of the Karl-Marx-Stadt district assembly and in 1958 he was the successor to the People's Chamber. From 1958 to 1961 he served as a department head in the LDPD district committee in Karl-Marx-Stadt. Between 1960 and 1964 he completed a distance learning course, which he completed with a degree in political science. From 1961 to December 1981 he was deputy chairman of the council of the Karl-Marx-Stadt district for trade and supply and as such the senior among the council members of the GDR districts in this department. At the same time he was deputy chairman of the LDPD district executive committee in Karl-Marx-Stadt. On October 19, 1962, at the 24th session of the People's Chamber, he succeeded the deceased deputy Adolf Otto in the People's Chamber, which he then belonged to as a member of the LDPD parliamentary group until the end of the legislative period in November 1963. After more than 20 years, he was adopted as a council member on December 9, 1981 for health reasons by the Karl-Marx-Stadt district assembly. His successor was Hartmut Greim, who had already taken over his previous function as deputy LDPD district chairman.
