Manfred Lang (theologian)

Manfred Lang (* 1964 in Treysa ) is a Protestant theologian and New Testament scholar .

Life

He studied Protestant theology in Oberursel (1985–1987), Heidelberg (1987–1988) and Erlangen (1988–1992). From December 1992 to October 1997 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Biblical Studies (New Testament Seminar) of the Theological Faculty of the University of Halle-Wittenberg . Since October 1997 he has been a research assistant at the Institute for Biblical Studies ( Corpus Hellenisticum Department ). After completing his doctorate in July 1997 at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, the vicariate from May 1998 to June 2000 in the Ev. Parish of Halle-Neustadt with the second theological exam and the habilitation on May 15, 2007, he held the inaugural lecture on January 19, 2010. In February 2014 he was appointed adjunct professor .
