Manfred Schmid (lawyer)

Manfred Schmid (* 1952 in Munich ) is a German lawyer . He was a judge at the Federal Fiscal Court from 2004 to 2018 .

After studying law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , Manfred Schmid joined the financial administration service and initially worked for the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance for several years . In May 1986 he went to the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe as a research assistant . After the end of this period of secondment and a short section manager activity in a Munich tax office in January 1990, a delegation of the followed Finanzgericht Munich . Six months later, Manfred Schmid was appointed judge at the tax court. From 1991 to 1995 he was seconded to the Federal Fiscal Court as a research assistant and then continued his work at the Munich Finance Court.

On August 1, 2004, Manfred Schmid was appointed judge at the Federal Fiscal Court and assigned to the Second Senate, in which he worked until he retired at the end of May 2018.
