Manfred Scholz (politician)

Manfred Scholz (born September 1, 1938 in Nuremberg ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

After attending elementary school, Scholz completed an apprenticeship as a skilled worker and studied mechanical engineering and graduated in industrial engineering in Nuremberg and Munich, as well as becoming a qualified economist. He did his doctorate at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and then worked for over 30 years in industry as an authorized signatory and division manager for business administration and information.

In 1955 Scholz became a member of the SPD, where he moved into the SPD executive committee in Nuremberg in 1976. At times he was also a member of the Franconian district board and was district councilor in Middle Franconia from 1974 to 1988, where he was deputy parliamentary group chairman. He was also a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1994 to 2003.
