Manfred Vallaster

Manfred Vallaster (born March 13, 1958 in Schruns ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and self-employed. From 1984 to 1994 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

Vallaster attended the Vandans elementary school between 1964 and 1968 and then moved to the secondary school in Schruns from 1968 to 1972. He then graduated from the Höhere Technische Lehranstalt in Mödling from 1972 to 1978 and passed his Matura there in 1978. After completing his military service in the barracks in Absam in Tyrol from 1978 to 1979, he began studying architecture at the University of Innsbruck in 1979 . He studied architecture until 1989 and has been self-employed since 1987.

Politics and functions

Vallaster joined the Austrian People's Party and the Young People's Party in 1978 and acted as deputy chairman of the Young ÖVP Vorarlberg from 1979 to 1981. From 1981 to 1996 he was the regional chairman of the young ÖVP Vorarlberg. He was a member of the district party leadership of the ÖVP Bludenz and from 1981 to 1996 also a member of the state party leadership and member of the state party presidium of the ÖVP Vorarlberg as well as active as local chairman of the young ÖVP Vandans for five years. In 1986 he took over the role of local party chairman of the ÖVP Vandans, after he had been elected to the Vandas municipal council in 1985. He was a member and chairman of the examination committee in the municipal council, as well as a member of the spatial planning, sports, sewage and sewer and building committees, and during his membership of the municipal council he also held the office of club chairman of the ÖVP Vandans.

From November 6, 1984 to October 3, 1994, he represented the ÖVP in the Vorarlberg state parliament as a member of the Bludenz constituency , where he worked as the area spokesman for youth and development aid within the ÖVP state parliament club. Vallaster had to resign from all his political offices in 2005 after manipulating the number of his preferred votes in the 2005 municipal council elections as an election assessor and candidate on the single list “Together for Vandans”.

Private

Manfred Vallaster was born the son of master carpenter Alois Vallaster and his wife Wilma Vallaster. He married his Bulgarian wife in 2006 and had one child in 1984, 1989 and 2001.
