Manfred Wasner (born December 30, 1963 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

In 1985, the Bundesliga club Hamburger SV signed the young Bayern league player Manfred Wasner from FC Vilshofen . Wasner was used four times by coach Ernst Happel in the Bundesliga before Wasner moved back to his Bavarian homeland for SpVgg Unterhaching , where he continued his studies in business administration. Previously, several second division teams had expressed interest in Wasner, but a change did not take place. After all, he stayed with SpVgg Unterhaching for a few years. In 1990 he returned to professional football when he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with Unterhaching under coach Karsten Wettberg . After you got down again, Wasner stayed for another year. In February 1992 he joined SpVgg Fürth , also a Bayern league team. For the “clovers” he only played a friendly game.

Wasner is still on the ball occasionally, for example at charity games.
