Manfred Zimmermann (diplomat)

Manfred Zimmermann (born August 9, 1929 in Dresden ) is a former German diplomat. Among other things, he served in the diplomatic service of the German Democratic Republic as a trade attaché in Turkey in the 1960s .

After studying law, Zimmermann joined the GDR diplomatic service. In 1958 he moved from Berlin to the Netherlands as deputy head of the representation of the Chamber for Foreign Trade of the GDR . In 1962 he took up the post of commercial attaché in Turkey and at the beginning of 1963 briefly took over the management of the foreign trade representation there.
