Manolo Otero

Manuel Otero Aparicio (born June 25, 1942 in Madrid , † June 1, 2011 in São Paulo ) was a Spanish singer and actor .

Life

Otero, the son of an opera singer and an actress, has played roles in films and occasionally in television series since the mid-1960s. With the publication of his first music album, Todo el tiempo del mundo , in 1974 , he achieved outstanding success. He took part in several festivals and recorded numerous other albums, which were particularly well received in South America, where he settled in São Paulo in the mid-1980s. In 2010 he toured in the USA, Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela and Bolivia.

His marriage in 1973 to actress María José Cantudo was a major media event; the marriage lasted only five years.
