Manp'on-shi ( 만포시 ; 滿 浦 市 ) is a city in Chagang-do Province in North Korea . It has 116,760 inhabitants (as of 2008), 57,071 of whom lived in urban regions. It is located on the border with the People's Republic of China across from the city of Ji'an .

Manp'o was founded as a city in 1961.

Wood processing and transportation are well developed. There is a chemical plant in the city.
