The ManpowerGroup is one of the three largest personnel service providers in the world. The company's headquarters, with around 2,800 offices in 80 countries, is located in Milwaukee , Wisconsin . Business areas include recruitment , temporary workers , outsourcing , consulting , and many other human resources solutions.
history
The company was founded in 1948 by lawyers Elmar L. Winter and Aaron Scheinfeld in Milwaukee and is considered to be the inventor of temporary work. The first offices opened in Milwaukee and Chicago, Illinois . In 1956 the company became an international company:

- 1964 - Appearance in Asia
In 1967 the shares of Manpower Inc. were listed on the stock exchange .
1995: Manpower Business Solutions was founded and began to offer targeted HR solutions (outsourcing). In 1999 the former Manpower Technical department became Manpower Professional , which specializes in IT, engineering and finance.
In 2000 Manpower acquired the IT company Elan , and in 2001 Jefferson Wells , a service provider in the areas of internal auditing, finance, accounting and IT, was taken over.
In 2004 Right Management , a provider of consulting services for everything to do with talent and career management, was acquired.
In 2011 Elan and Manpower Professional merged to form Experis . On March 30, 2011, Manpower Inc. changed its name to ManpowerGroup to better reflect its offering. The companies ManpowerGroup Solutions , Manpower , Experis and Right Management became known under the superordinate brand .
2019 ManpowerGroup posted sales of about 21 billion US dollars .
ManpowerGroup in Germany
The Manpower GmbH & Co. KG Personal Services was in 1965 Frankfurt founded. In June 2015, ManpowerGroup Deutschland GmbH, Eschborn, took over 7S Group GmbH from Jena. With over 27,000 employees, around 360 locations and a turnover of over 921 million euros, the ManpowerGroup moved up into the top 3 of the largest personnel service providers in Germany. In 2018 the ManpowerGroup Germany was the third largest US employer in Germany.
The ManpowerGroup labor market barometer is an indicator of labor market development. In addition, the company regularly publishes studies on the subject of the future of work, the shortage of skilled workers and careers.
In Germany the ManpowerGroup holds the companies Manpower, Experis, ManpowerGroup Solution, Right Management, Proservia and the individual brands of the 7S Group.
