Mansur Dadullah is an Afghan Taliban rebel leader .

After the death of his brother Mullah Dadullah in a military operation by the US military in 2007, Mansur Dadullah became commander in southern Afghanistan. Mansur's brother was previously considered the Taliban's military chief.

Mansur Dadullah was released from prison in March 2007 in exchange for the abducted Italian journalist Daniele Mastrogiacomo . In a video recording from June 9, 2007, taken in a Taliban training camp, Dadullah showed himself and announced suicide attacks in Europe and the United States . At the end of 2007 he was rumored to have been violated by the Taliban for not following instructions and violating Taliban rules. In early February 2008, Dadullah was arrested by Pakistani security forces near the village of Gowal Ismail in Balochistan Province . During the arrest, Mansur Dadullah was injured, according to the local police chief. The Associated Press initially falsely reported Mansur Dadullah's death.
