Manu-L (bourgeois Emanuel Gut , born April 16, 1983 ) is a Swiss singer who became known as the front man of the band Myron and through his collaboration with the Swiss DJ and producer Remady .

life and career

Emanuel Gut grew up in Magden in the canton of Aargau . After completing secondary school, he completed a commercial apprenticeship as a forwarding agent. During this time he dealt intensively with music and already wrote his first songs.

He started his career with the pop rock band Myron , which consists of him and his friend Chris Haffner. The most successful single is One Step Closer , which hit the top 10 on the Swiss chart. He provided the vocals for DJ Antoine's songs Underneath and This Time . Since 2009 he has been working with the Zurich DJ Remady .

The first single No Superstar became a hit in several European countries and reached good positions in the charts. In Switzerland it reached number 5 and was on the chart for a total of 32 weeks. Due to this success, it was then released in the USA by the music label Ultra Records. In 2010 a remix single of the song was released, in which the two musicians Lumidee and Chase Manhattan participated. With this version they also reached a placement in the German single charts . This was followed by other successful singles such as Save Your Heart , The Way We Are or Give Me a Sign .

In 2012 the album The Original was released , which Manu-L released together with Remady. There are new songs and remixes on the album. The first single was Single Ladies . The song became a number one hit on the Swiss singles chart. The two songs Doing It Right and Higher Ground made it into the Swiss singles chart through downloads alone . Both songs were also released as single in 2012.

In spring 2013, the single Hollywood Ending was released as a 2k13 version. At the same time the album The Original - 2k13 Edition was released . The song was also able to enter the Swiss single charts. The track It's So Easy, which was not released as a CD single, also made it . Also in 2013 the single Holidays by him and Remady was released, which was released in Germany and Austria. After just one week, the track was able to reach the singles charts and in the second week rose to number three.

In 2014 the singles In My Dreams and Waiting for were released as pre-single releases of their joint studio album 1 + 1 = 3 . Parallel to the album, the single Livin 'La Vida was released on May 1, 2015 , in which J-Son took part. Together with the German band Culcha Candela , they released the song Together We Are One (Bring Back the Energy) on August 14, 2015 . On January 15, 2016 they released Another Day in Paradise, a tropical house version of the song of the same name by Phil Collins . In 2016 they released the song LIFE On June 16, 2017 the song Give Me Love was released , with which they joined the future bass scene. In early 2018 they released the song Back Again , followed by Heaven in the summer of 2018.
