Manuel Anglada i Ferran

Manuel Anglada i Ferran (* 1918 in Maçanet de la Selva ; † 1998 ) was a Catalan - Andorran writer and author of non-fiction books on the culture of Andorra and the Pyrenees .

In 1998 he was awarded the Creu de Sant Jordi for his contributions as a scientist to the toponymy , language and archeology of Andorra. Anglada founded the Center de la Cultura Catalana a Andorra (Andorran Center for Catalan Culture) and bequeathed part of his estate to the Andorran National Archives.

His contribution to Andorran literature consists primarily of poetry. This was collected and published by Editorial Andorra between 1996 and 1997.
