Manuel Dicenta

Manuel Dicenta Badillo (born May 20, 1905 in Madrid ; † November 20, 1974 ibid.) Was a Spanish actor.

Dicenta was the son of the writer Joaquín Dicenta Benedicto and the actress Consuelo Badillo made his debut as an actor at the age of nineteen at the side of María Guerrero in El pobrecito carpintero . A successful career as a theater actor followed. As a film actor, he made his debut in 1927 in Eusebio Fernández Ardavín's El bandido de la sierra . Since the early 1960s, he appeared in numerous television series. From 1966 to 1970 he was a professor at the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático .

Dicenta was married to María José Pérez Gago . Her son Daniel Dicenta and his children Jacobo , Manuael Dicenta and Natalia Dicenta were also known as actors. Dicenta's brother is the playwright Joaquín Dicenta Alonso .
