Manuel Tur (* 1986 in Essen ) is a German musician , label founder and DJ . With a mixture of deep house and funk , partly with stylistic devices from French house , he produces house and electro in the genres of electronic dance music . He uses the artist names "Arcade Mode", "Blackbird", "Jermaine Jones" and "Tweeq" and also published in the duos "Knabberbox" (with Patrick Alavi ) and "Manuel Tur & Dplay".
In his youth, Tur began to mix and produce on the turntables together with “Dj Sel”. He implemented the influences of Ian Pooley , "Swag" and Sébastien Léger in his versatile sound. At the age of 16, Tur released his debut album " Caissa / Italo Fake " on the Mada Music label. This was followed by further projects with Sébastien Léger's Last Resort Production label "Bits Music", "Brickhouse Tracks" from Germany and the French label "Dynamic Recordings", as well as the 12 "single" Your Love "on the Swedish label" Refune Records " under the pseudonym Arcade Mode.
In 2006 he founded "Smokestack Recordings", on which his single The Soulkraut EP was released.
