Patrick Alavi

Patrick Alavi (* 1982 in Frechen ) is a German musician , label founder and DJ who produces a mixture of the music genres funk and house .

life and career

In 1996 Alavi released his first EP as DJ Alavi on Sonic House , a sub-label of the German techno label Atomic Silence . In 2001 he was signed by Bad Boy Bill for his labels Moody Recordings and International House Records . In the same year he released two EPs on the French label Vertigo

In 2004 Alavi was signed by Kris Menace for two EPs for his label Work It Baby. The track Power published there was later released again in Great Britain on the Azuli Records label . The track Come To Me reached number 3 on the British Buzz Charts. In 2005 Alavi founded his own label Roxour , on which he played music by Benjamin Theves ( Texas , later licensed to Kitsuné with a remix by SebastiAn ), Tepr ( En Direct De La Côte , later licensed to Wall of Sound with a remix by DatA) ) and Flairs.

In the same year his piece The End reached number 1 on the British Buzz Charts, presented by Pete Tong on the radio station BBC Radio 1 .

In 2007 his track was released under the project name Turbofunk on the British record label Data Records ( Ministry Of Sound ) and reached number 79 in the Dutch singles charts and number 1 in the British Buzz & Hype charts.

Alavi has released remixes for Gossip , Shinichi Osawa , Disco Boys and Laidback Luke, among others . His music has appeared on compilations from Ministry of Sound , Modular , Hed Kandi, Virgin , Universal Records , Kontor and other international labels.
