Manuela Günter (* 1964 ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

She completed her studies (1983–1989) in German, philosophy and sociology at the LMU Munich in 1989 with a Magister Artium and a doctorate in 1995. From 1995 to 1997 she was a research assistant at the LMU Munich . From 1997 to 2001 she was a research assistant at IdSL I at the University of Cologne . In April 2001 she was appointed Academic Councilor. From 2003 to 2006 she received a Lise Meitner habilitation grant from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. According to the Venia Legendiin July 2007 for Modern German Literature Studies she was appointed Academic Senior Councilor in July 2008. In October 2011 she was appointed adjunct professor . Since 2015 he has been Vice Rector for Equality and Diversity at the University of Cologne .

Her research interests are literary history and gender, literature in media in the 18th and 19th centuries, popular classics, autobiography, Shoah literature, and literature and migration.
