Former factory in Abzac

The factory in Abzac , a French commune in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was established in the 18th century. The former manufacture has been protected as a monument historique since 1980 .

The manufacture grew out of a water mill , which is mentioned as early as the 16th century, on the Isle of River north of the municipality. The building was extended to a three-wing complex in 1780.

Today the headquarters of the company Abzac, founded in 1928, one of the most important manufacturers of cardboard tubes, tubes, winding tubes and corner protectors, is located in the building.
