María José Sánchez Núñez
María José Sánchez Núñez (born November 8, 1961 in Córdoba ), stage name Núñez , is a Spanish comic artist who became known through her work for Disney .
Life
Núñez was born on November 8, 1961 in Cordoba, southern Spain, and moved with her family to Barcelona in 1971 , where she met the well-known comic artist Miguel Pujol . Later, after finishing school, Núñez took a year off from work. She then worked as an ink draftswoman at the Recreo agency, receiving most of the commissions from Ehapa .
After about 6 years of such work, the illustrator switched to Bonnet Estudio , where she got the chance to draw herself. During this time, César Ferioli was a great help and became a supporter and mentor for her, as he had known her since her work at Recreo. This collaboration also lasted about 6 years before she drew alone and exclusively for Egmont , which she still does today. She is still friends with Ferioli.
Style and role models
While she views César Ferioli as a teacher, her role models are Daniel Branca , Daan Jippes, and Carl Barks . Although Gundel Gaukeley is her favorite character, Núñez is best known for tales of the tank crackers .
