María Martín (actress)
María Martín Vargas (born July 14, 1923 in Marbella ) is a Spanish actress .
Martín's family has Swedish roots; so the blonde actress was quickly cast as the Nordic beauty in her first film, La niña está loca from 1942. After moving to Barcelona she shot several times with Ignacio F. Iquino ; Until 1998 she showed her skills in interpretations of women, often morally impeccable, and as one of the classic vamps of Spanish film in over eighty roles for film and television, including numerous genre films. She also used the name Mery Mertin . During the 1950s she spent some time in Italy, where she was artistically and personally connected to Adriano Rimoldi until his untimely death in 1965, and where she appeared in several films and theater reviews. In the 1970s she also shot a few times in Mexico.
