Astroc Sagunto
Astroc Sagunto , also known by its former names Mar Valencia, over Valencia and Medina Valencia, is a women's handball club from the Spanish city of Sagunto near Valencia , playing in the División de Honor.
The Spanish series champions celebrated their greatest success to date in 1997 when they won the Champions League . In a close match in the semifinals against Hypo Niederösterreich , Valencia retained the upper hand with 49:48 and then clearly prevailed 58:50 against Viborg HK in the final . In 1998 the club was again in the final of the Champions League, but this time had to bow 56:47 to Hypo. The club finally reached the final of the "European premier class" for the third time in 2003, but lost to Krim Ljubljana 58:63.
