The Marble Rock (English for marble rock ) is a rock formation on the Mawson Coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . The rock rises on the edge of an ice cliff 1.3 km west-southwest of the West Arm and Mawson Station .
Aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 were used for mapping. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after the seams of marble , the Australian geologist David Scott Trail had found there in 1961 (* 1931).
