Marc Grieder (born October 5, 1984 in Basel ) is a Swiss ice hockey official and former player. Since April 2018 he has been head of sport at EHC Olten . As a player, the defender played 179 games in the National League A (NLA) and 528 in the National League B (NLB).

career

Grieder played in the youth movement of the EHC Zunzgen-Sissach, later the HC Davos and the Zürcher SC . In the 2002/03 season he made his debut in the National League B (NLB) for the GC Küsnacht Lions . During his time in Küsnacht, which lasted until 2006, he also played for the EHC Dübendorf , the EHC Visp  and the EHC Olten at times thanks to loan agreements .

In 2006 the defender moved to Lausanne HC , with whom he was NLB champion in 2009, but missed promotion in the league qualification. From 2009 he played for the EHC Basel  in the NLB, his debut in the National League A (NLA) was made during the 2009/10 season in the EHC Biel jersey .

In 2011 he moved permanently to Biel, in 2013 he moved on to NLA competitor HC Ambrì-Piotta  . In the 2015/16 season, Grieder strengthened SC Rapperswil-Jona  in the NLB and, at the end of his competitive sports career, from 2016 to 2018 the EHC Olten, also in the NLB.

After the end of the 2017/18 season, he resigned as a player due to a knee injury and was introduced as head of sports at EHC Olten in mid-April 2018.
