Marc Hype (born March 29, 1973 in Berlin as Marc Gärtner ) is a German DJ and music producer.

Marc Hype, who initially called himself DJ Hype, has been behind the turntables as a DJ since 1988. He used to be a member of the hip hop group Cheeba Garden. He won the German ITF DJ Championships in 1998 and 1999 , was the head of the DJ collective Phaderheadz, toured throughout Europe as well as the USA, Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, India, United Arab Emirates, Russia, Australia and Israel and published alongside further projects in 2003 his debut album 1973 * Recon with guests like Masta Ace, Souls Of Mischief, Mr. Lif , Akrobatik, Beat Junkies & Killa Kela . Marc Hype occurred in 2003 and 2004 as a mixer on two radio pleasure titled Rare Beat compilations in appearance.

Since 2004 he has been accompanied by his DJ sets and complemented by Jim Dunloop, a trained concert pianist. Funk breaks and old school hip-hop flow together with live piano runs. Together they have releases on the New York remix label Milk Crate Records . Her best known production is a nine-minute cover version of the BBoy classic The Mexican by Babe Ruth on Melting Pot Music . In 2009 the album “Stamp Out Reality” was released on Melting Pot Music, with guests like Blowfly, Lady Daisey, Mr Lif, Malena Perez, Sara de Bourgeois, Mr Complex and Flomega.

Nowadays he tours the world with his record cases as part of the Dusty Donuts Dj Squad / Label, as well as the 45 live DJ team based in England.
