Definitive Jux is a 1999 by rapper and producer El-P in New York based independent label mainly Underground - hip-hop produced.

Until 2000, the hip-hop label was still called Def Jux . However, since Russell Simmons reached a court amendment order due to the similarity with the Def Jam label , it was changed to Definitive Jux .

In February 2010, El-P announced that it would dissolve the label as such. Definitive Jux still existed on the website, on which Definitive Jux merchandise could be ordered until mid-2012, but all of the formerly under contract artists changed labels. Shortly after the release of El-P's album Cancer 4 Cure , the Definitive Jux website was integrated into that of the Daylight Curfew label.

Artists under contract with the label called themselves Def Jukies.
