Marc Kaschke

Marc Kaschke (* 1973 or 1974 in North Platte ) is an American politician. From 2008 to 2012 he was mayor of North Platte, Nebraska .

Kaschke was born and raised in North Platte, where his parents owned the John Deere agency. He studied at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and left it in 1996 with a Bachelor of Business Administration . He then worked as a young business advisor in rural Nebraska.

In 2006, the Republican Kaschke ran in the 42nd electoral district (includes Lincoln County ) for the seat in Parliament of Nebraska , but was subject to Tom Hansen . In 2008 Marc Kaschke won the mayoral election of North Platte, succeeding G. Keith Richardson , who waived re-election. In 2012 he lost to his competitor Dwight Livingston for mayor's office.
