Marc Planus (born March 7, 1982 in Bordeaux ) is a former French football player .

Career

Planus' professional career began in his hometown of Bordeaux in the summer of 2001. However, it was not used for the first time until the following season. He made his debut for the Hafenstädter on November 9, 2002 in the league game against Stade Rennes . Since then he has been an integral part of the dark blue team . Before that, he had already passed through the youth teams of Girondins and was trained at the junior boarding school in Le Haillan . Only after five seasons for Girondins was Planus able to score his first goal in Ligue 1. The current contract of the central defender is valid until 2011.

In May 2010, national coach Raymond Domenech named Marc Planus for the French World Cup line-up . In the preparatory match against Tunisia on May 31, the defender made his first international match for the Bleus .
