Marc Theis (* 18th April 1953 in Luxembourg ) is an artist , photographer and nonfiction - author and lives in more than 35 years Hannover .

Life

Marc Theis spent part of his childhood in Metz, France, and finally returned to Luxembourg to study decorator and sign painter at the University of Applied Sciences in Luxembourg City. After graduating in 1971, Marc Theis went to Stuttgart to attend the Adolf Lazi Photo School, and then studied advertising graphics at the State Academy of Fine Arts . Marc Theis came to Hanover at the age of 23, first worked as a photographer at the Medical University, then graduated in 1979 in Hanover with a degree in graphic design and worked for five years in the advertising department of the travel company TUI .

He has been a freelance photographer since 1983. His long-term customers include numerous global companies. Theis has received numerous prizes and awards, including the gold medal in the worldwide Nikon contest. 1994 Appointment to the "Chevalier de l´ Ordre de Mérite du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg ". He has edited 7 photo books and published 17 calendars. His work is exhibited at home and abroad. The Luxembourg photo artist Marc Theis has been accompanying various international artists from the music and variety scene with his special pictures for years, but also famous actors, painters and successful athletes like to be staged again and again by Marc Theis.
