Marc Acardipane (born April 7, 1969 in Frankfurt am Main ; real name Marc Trauner ) is a German music producer and DJ from Frankfurt am Main. He is considered to be one of the founders of hardcore techno .
Career
In 1990 Acardipane, whose grandfather comes from Italy , released the very first hardcore techno track with We Have Arrived under the pseudonym Mescalinum United . It was released on the Planet Core Productions (PCP) label , which Acardipane founded in 1989 together with Don Demon / Slam Burt. The B-side of We Have Arrived was Reflections Of 2017 .
Acardipane published under many other pseudonyms and landed a lot of success in the hardcore and techno scene. In 2002 he released an album under his pseudonym The Mover called Frontal Frustration on the Berlin techno label Tresor . In 2003 the band Scooter covered their classic I Like It Loud by Marshall Masters feat. The Ultimate MC from 1997. This was viewed very critically within the scene.
In 2006, Acardipane released together with DJ Balloon Go West , a cover version of the title of the same name by the Pet Shop Boys and Village People . Stylistically, the piece was located in the hands up area. The release also contained a remix by Special D. Acardipane still DJs at major hardcore techno raves and in techno clubs (including Thunderdome , Tomorrowland , Mystery Land , Dominator , Tresor Berlin and Berghain ).
The Mover album Undetected Act From The Gloom Chamber was released in March 2018 .
