Planet Core Productions (PCP) is a former music label that existed from 1989 to 1997. It was founded by Marc Trauner (alias Marc Acardipane ) and Thorsten Lambart (alias Don Demon / Slam Burt) in Frankfurt am Main . The label's sixth release (PCP 006) is considered the world's first hardcore techno track: We Have Arrived by Mescalinum United, a pseudonym Acardipanes. After the end of PCP Acardipane founded the labels Acardipane Records and Resident E Recordings .
history
Planet Core Productions, as well as a number of associated sub - labels , released numerous hardcore techno and doomcore, but also, for example, techno and hard trance tracks. On the hip-hop sub-label Dope On Plastic , a record by the rapper Da Germ (later one of the members of the Brothers Keepers ) was released together with Bunker Youth. PCP is considered a cult label of the gabber scene , not least because of the classics 6 Million Ways To Die , Slaves To The Rave , Whurlstorm or We Have Arrived .
Between 1990 and 1995 Planet Core Production published the Frankfurt Trax compilation series , of which there were a total of 6 editions. In addition to PCP tracks, the compilations also contained contributions by Frankfurt techno greats Sven Väth , Mark Spoon , Pascal FEOS and DJ Dag .
PCP also became known through the hr3 Clubnight broadcast on October 23, 1993, which was well received.
