Marcel Stoob (born November 15, 1967 ) is a former Swiss football player .
He grew up in Rapperswil-Jona and completed an apprenticeship as a tinsmith after secondary school. During his apprenticeship he played for FC Rapperswil-Jona in the 2nd division and for FC Rüti in the 1st division. After his apprenticeship, he became a professional footballer at FC Zurich and AC Bellinzona in the National League A. He then played for another year for FC Glarus in the National League B before starting his career in 1994 at the age of 26 at FC Rapperswil-Jona in the Had to quit 2nd league due to health problems. Stoob played a total of 30 mandatory games (championship and Swiss Cup) for FC Zurich in which he did not score, but scored two own goals. After his football career, he trained as a qualified Red Cross nurse and worked as a nurse in various hospitals and clinics until 1999. In 2001 he founded a football school in Hermosillo (Mexico).
