Marcello Guidi

Marcello Guidi (born January 2, 1928 in Rome ) is a former Italian diplomat.

Life

He was the Italian Ambassador to Japan from March 28, 1984 . This was followed in 1985 as a NATO representative for Italy in Brussels . Guidi, who holds a doctorate, later took over the post of Italian ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany in Bonn on July 5, 1989 . He held this position until 1992. He later became chairman of the Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale (ISPI).

Guidi is also interested in classical music, operas, films and film history, and he also collects antiques.
