Marco Di Loreto (born September 28, 1974 in Terni ) is a former Italian football player . He played in the position of defender .

Career

Marco Di Loreto started his career at AS Narnese Calcio in Serie D . Here he played a total of five seasons before moving to AC Arezzo for the 1995/96 season. With Arezzo, Di Loreto rose to Serie C2 in his first season . The club stayed here until the 1998/99 season, when Arezzo rose to Serie C1 together with Di Loreto . In the winter break of the 1999/2000 season, Di Loreto moved to league rivals AS Viterbese Calcio ; he stayed here until the end of the season before moving to Serie A club AC Perugia . Here he played his way into the regular formation right away, where he stayed for the following five seasons. For Perugia he played a total of 166 competitive games and scored 21 goals.

For the 2005/06 season he moved to Fiorentina , where he was used a total of 75 times until 2009. In 2009/10 he played for a year at ASD Sporting Terni in the fourth Italian division . Then he ended his career.
