Marco Gatti

Marco Gatti (born January 25, 1967 in San Marino ) is a San Marino politician .

Life

Gatti received a diploma as an accounting officer and commercial specialist in 1985. From 1986 to 1996 he was an employee, since 1996 he has been working as a freelancer.

He joined the Partito Democratico Cristiano Sammarinese in 1990 . From 2000 to 2005 he was a member of the board of the local association of PDCS in Domagnano . Since 2000 he has been a member of the Central Council of the PDCS, from 2005 to 2006 and again since 2010 he was or is a member of the party executive committee. From 2005 to 2006 he was Vice Secretary, and since 2010 he has been Political Secretary of the PDCS.

Gatti ran for the first time in the 2001 elections for the San Marinese parliament, the Consiglio Grande e Generale . He reached number 30 on the PDCS list, which won 25 mandates. He entered parliament for the first time in the parliamentary elections in 2006, and was re-elected in 2008 and 2012. He represented his party on the Finance Committee from 2006 to 2012 and was a member of the San Marinese delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe from 2008 to 2011 . From September 2009 until his resignation in May 2012, he was chairman of the anti-mafia commission. He has been a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee since 2013.

Gatti lives in Domagnano, is married and has two children. He is the nephew of the San Marinese politician Gabriele Gatti .
