Gabriele Gatti

Gabriele Gatti (born March 27, 1953 in San Marino ) is a politician from San Marino . From October 1st, 2011 to April 1st, 2012 he was Capitano Reggente (Head of State) of San Marino together with Matteo Fiorini .

Life

Gatti has a degree in humanities and philosophy from the University of Urbino. He has been a member of the Partito Democratico Cristiano Sammarinese since 1974 . From 1975 to 1985 he was Deputy Secretary, in 1987 he became General Secretary and in 2002 President of the Central Council. Gatti was first elected to the Consiglio Grande e Generale , the Parliament of San Marino, in 1978 , to which he has been a member since then. In 2006 he became chairman of the PDCS faction in the Consiglio Grande e Generale. He was a member of various parliamentary committees, including the social security and urban development committees, the finance and justice committees. From 1986 to 2002 he was Foreign Minister and from 2008 to 2010 Finance Minister. He was elected for the period from October 1, 2011 to April 1, 2012 together with Matteo Fiorini as Capitano Reggente the head of state of San Marino.
