Marco Kehl-Gómez (born May 1, 1992 in Zurich ) is a Swiss football player . The defender has been playing for the German regional division Rot-Weiss Essen since summer 2019 .

Career

Kehl-Gómez, who has a Spanish mother and a Swiss father, played for Juventus Zurich and Grasshopper Zurich in his youth . Since the 2008/09 season he was also used in the reserve team of Grasshopper Zurich and was even used in seven competitive games for the first team in the 2011/12 season. In the cup game against SC Kriens , he scored a goal on penalties. For the first half of the 2012/13 season he was awarded to the second division club FC Lugano. For the 2013/14 season, the defender moved to the German Regionalliga Südwest for SC Pfullendorf after his contract was terminated , where he was mainly used in central defense. After SC Pfullendorf was relegated to the league at the end of the 2013/14 season, Kehl-Gómez went to the third division Chemnitzer FC . He signed a contract until 2016 with an option to extend it until 2017. For Chemnitz he was mostly used in midfield. During the 2015/16 winter break, he moved to the Regionalliga Südwest for SV Elversberg .

From the summer of 2017, Kehl-Gómez played at 1. FC Saarbrücken , for whom he played 63 competitive games in two years as a regular.

For Regionalliga season 2019/20 undertook Rot-Weiss Essen the Swiss and endowed him with a two-year contract. After the preparation for the season he was appointed the new team captain.
