Marco Risi
Marco Risi (born June 24, 1951 in Milan ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .
Life
The son of the director Dino Risi broke off his studies in philosophy and began as assistant director to his uncle Nelo for Una stagione all'inferno (1970) and to Duccio Tessari for Zorro (1975). With and for him, he co-wrote his first screenplay Caro papà (1979). After the 1977 documentary Appunti su Hollywood , Risi released his first feature film Vado a vivere da solo in 1982 . In 1991 he received the David di Donatello for best director for Survival in Palermo (1990) . In 1992 he founded the Sorpasso Film production company with Maurizio Tedesco . The film The Unleashed New Year's Eve, which was co-produced with this company, was nominated for the David. Comedies in particular continued to emerge; he also devoted himself to the production of other directors.
