Marco Salvatore (born February 20, 1986 in Schwarzach im Pongau ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Salvatore began playing football in the youth team of the Salzburg club SK Bischofshofen . At the age of 14 he switched to the junior academy of Vienna Austria . In 2005 he moved up to the squad of Austria Amateurs. After two seasons with the amateurs in the second highest Austrian league, he moved to 1. FC Vöcklabruck in 2007 . In 2008, Salvatore returned to the first division through the rise of the Upper Austrians . In January 2009 he moved to SK Austria Kärnten in the Bundesliga. Salvatore made his debut in the top Austrian league on March 4, 2009 in a game against FC Red Bull Salzburg . He came on in the 79th minute for the Brazilian Sandro .

After Austria Kärnten had not received a license for the 2010/11 Bundesliga season, the defender moved to the second division club First Vienna FC on a free transfer . In 2012 Salvatore switched to the then Lower Austrian first division club SV Horn . In January 2015 he went to the then national division SC Mannsdorf . On January 4, 2018, the Wiener Sport-Club announced the engagement of Marco Salvatore.
