Marcos Lopez

Marcos López (born February 10, 1966 in Zurich / Switzerland ) is a German DJ , radio presenter and music journalist . He lives and works in Berlin .

Life

Marcos Lopez lived in Madrid until he was 5 years old and grew up in Stadtallendorf ( Hesse ). From 1986 he studied communication science at the Free University of Berlin . He first worked as a DJ in 1988. From January 1991 to 1993 he moderated the youth radio DT64 . He helped create the sound of the legendary Berlin club Tresor , organized the party series Tribal Rave and Earth Beats with Wolle Neugebauer and African drummers and founded the Marmion project with Mijk van Dijk , which was initially released on the Hamburg label Superstition Records , later also on MFS and Motor Music .

The song Schöneberg , published in 1993 on the maxi single Berlin EP , became a great international club hit as a remix a year later. From 1997 to 1999 Marcos Lopez moderated the Soundgarden on Fritz , the youth wave of the Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg (ORB) . In 1999 he released the DJ mix album Chill Out Area 2 , and in 2001 the autobiographical CD in the style of a radio collage, St @ dtjungen stories. In 2003 he wrote his master's thesis MP3 - Description of a Phenomenon. From 2004 to 2005 he was an editor at Radioeins (rbb) . In 2006 he was the PR manager of the Love Parade . In 2007 he founded the journalist office red @ ktion musik.
