Marcos Xavier

Marcos Xavier (born August 8, 1973 in Lahomea , Bobonaro , Portuguese Timor ) is an East Timorese politician. He is a member of the Congresso Nacional da Reconstrução Timorense (CNRT) and vice-coordinator of the CNRT in the municipality of Bobonaro.

Career

Xavier has a bachelor's degree.

At number 40 on the CNRT's list, Xavier failed in the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2017 because the party only won 22 seats.

After the early dissolution of parliament in 2018, Xavier took up position 25 in the new elections on May 12 of the Aliança para Mudança e Progresso (AMP), to which the CNRT also belongs, and entered parliament. He is now a member of the Infrastructure Commission (Commission E).
