Marcus Ackermann

Marcus Ackermann (born February 22, 1966 in Braunschweig ) is a German business manager and former basketball player .

career

Ackermann rose in 1991 with the basketball team of SG Braunschweig from the 2nd basketball league to the basketball league and in the same year reached the final of the DBB Cup with the SG , where Bayer Leverkusen were defeated. Braunschweig thus also qualified for the European Cup, in which Ackermann, who was on the inside, also took part with the Lower Saxony.

Ackermann completed a degree in biology with a doctorate, worked for a management consulting firm from 1995 and switched to the Otto Group in 1998 . From the end of 2001 he worked for the subsidiary Bonprix Handelsgesellschaft , where he became managing director for the areas of strategy, marketing, sales and e-commerce and was chairman of the management board from 2012 to 2016. On January 1, 2017, Ackermann moved to the Executive Board of the Otto Group and was responsible for the strategic development of the various parts of the company.
