Marcus Böblinger

Marcus Böblinger (* unknown; † 1492 in Esslingen ; also Markus / Marx and Beblinger ) was a late Gothic German builder and son of Hans Böblinger . He belonged to the Swabian master builder family Böblinger .

Little is known about his work and life. After the death of his father, he took over the management of the Esslingen Frauenkirche . His name is carved into a pinnacle with a stonemason's mark in the southwestern part of the building with the year 1484 . There he is referred to as a master and his name is peculiarly provided with his father's stonemason mark.
