Marcus Pelham, 6th Earl of Yarborough

Marcus Herbert Pelham, 6th Earl of Yarborough (born Anderson-Pelham ; born June 30, 1893 , † December 2, 1966 ) was a British peer and politician .

Life

He was the fourth and youngest son of Charles Pelham, 4th Earl of Yarborough and his wife Marcia Lane-Fox, 7th Baroness Fauconberg . In 1905 his father changed the family name from "Anderson-Pelham" to "Pelham" under a royal license.

After his older brother Sackville George Pelham, 5th Earl of Yarborough died on February 7, 1948 without male heirs, he inherited his nobility titles as 6th Earl of Yarborough , 6th Baron Worsley and 7th Baron Yarborough . As a result, he became a member of the House of Lords and was a member until his death in 1966.

On September 3, 1919, he married Pamela Douglas-Pennant, daughter of Colonel Edward Douglas-Pennant, 3rd Baron Penrhyn . From this marriage a son and a daughter were born. When he died in 1966, his son John Edward Pelham inherited his title of nobility.
