Earl of Yarborough
Earl of Yarborough is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
The Earls' family seat is Brocklesby House near Immingham in Lincolnshire .
Award, subordinate and other titles
The title was created on January 30, 1837 for former House of Commons Charles Anderson-Pelham, 2nd Baron Yarborough . Along with the earliest dignity, he was given the subordinate title of Baron Worsley , of Appuldurcombe on the Isle of Wight . In 1823 he had inherited the title Baron Yarborough , of Yarborough in the County of Lincoln , from his father of the same name , which he had received on August 13, 1794 in the Peerage of Great Britain .
His great-grandson, the 4th Earl, shortened the family name from "Anderson-Pelham" to "Pelham" in 1905 with a royal license. He was married to Marcia Lane-Fox , who was confirmed to be 13th Baroness Conyers in 1892 and 7th Baroness Fauconberg in 1903 , both of whom had been in Abeyance by then . The couple's second and eldest surviving son, inherited his mother's two titles in 1926 and his father's as 5th Earl of Yarborough in 1936. Since the 5th Earl had no sons, the titles Baron Conyers and Baron Fauconberg in Abeyance fell between his two daughters on his death in 1948, while his younger brother inherited the remaining titles as 6th Earl of Yarborough. Today's title holder since 1991, his grandson as 8th Earl.
